Description
This... took me.. forever to draw. I'm so glad I finished just in time. //rubsface I do try and practice my background/scenery, but cities are the hardest for me. I normally do woodland, mountains, open fields, and other nature based backgrounds. I just find it easier to draw almost anything aside from buildings. I really like the look of cities, but it's very intimidating. I also have a thing for abandon looking places. I don't know what it is about it, but it makes my imagination run wild with what could have happened to the place....
Anyway, I decided to step out my comfort zone for this and do an abandoned city piece for the first time. The billboards, and advertisement like objects around the city are either works from my gallery or tools I've used/use during my whole life for my art. So it's kind of a mix of old with the new picture.
Even if don't really place in the contest, I am really glad I went ahead and finished this picture. I never really would have taken the time to push and see how well I could do on something I'm not very confident in. Also that little dot on the glowing road is suppose to be a person on a bicycle following, but that's obviously a little hard to see. //sob

Whoa, this looks beautiful! 
It's nice to see an abandoned city look so... well, light. Usually they're run down and depressing, but this seems magical. 
I love the colors, atmosphere, and the road!
